Eating Alone: Party of One

by MouthyGirl

Do you ever eat alone? Go out to lunch with yourself? I do. I used to have this huge mental block about looking lonely. I realize now of course, when I eat alone, I get a lot done. I can write down ideas for MouthyGirl.com and blog them later, sometimes I’ve even written entire posts in my little notebook.

Notes in my little book...

That’s my little notebook, when I’ve written the post the page correlates to, I fold the corner up so I know I took care of that idea. Some of the ideas I have never make it off the page, but I have them and work them out and decide if it’s meant to be or not.

Do you ever eat alone, do you find yourself feeling lonely, or adversely, getting a lot done?

I think there will always be both a little loneliness and comfort when eating alone. I’m actually off to make my lunch right now and I will be eating alone, but with a good book, I think eating alone isn’t too bad. Of course, I do prefer to eat with someone around for the company, but I do like being alone at times. As for getting work done, yes, yes, yes, definitely get more work done when I’m alone because no one is around to bother me too much.

    Hi Sabrina

I generally tend to enjoy my own company (maybe a bit too much, at times), but sometimes I do feel lonely.

Being in my own company doesn’t necessarily mean I get a lot of work done though, as I can sometimes be my worst enemy (i.e., procrastination).

    take care, oh Mouthy One.
