New! Social Shopping for Mommies

Tag: Entertainment, Life, Product ReviewSabrina @ 3:42 pm

One of my best buds over at MommyTalk.com gave me the heads up on this new site that you have to check out! It doesn’t get any better than this: shopping, socializing and mommies all in one place! Compare products and things your baby likes with that of your friends without the long distance charges. See the press release below:

MommyTalk.com (http://www.mommytalk.com) announced today that the social networking site for moms will partner with Wishpot to host a virtual launch party for Wishpot Baby (http://www.wishpot.com/registry/baby/), a baby shopping space with a social twist. Wishpot Baby went live on Tuesday, July 1.

The virtual launch party, held in the MommyTalk chat room (http://www.mommytalk.com/chat) on Wednesday, July 9 at 9 p.m. EST, will give MommyTalk members and visitors a chance to chat live with Wishpot’s Chief Mom Officer, Jessica Smith. Party attendees who have an active Wishpot account can win giveaways from Mom Generations (formerly Pinks & Blues), Ely Organics, The Pear Project, GreatAupair.com, Sally Walker Design and toteandtee.com.

“We’re thrilled to share MommyTalk.com’s first-ever virtual launch party with Wishpot Baby. It’s such a great concept and now MommyTalker’s and visitors will get a first glimpse and inside-scoop,” said Rachel Dunn, senior editor of MommyTalk.com. “Many of our members have been playing with the site during its beta version, and they already love it!”

Wishpot Baby’s free shopping service allows parents to shop anywhere and keep one registry. Parents can share their registry with family and friends, recommend favorite items, explore gift suggestions and ask for opinions and advice from mom experts.

“We are committed to helping parents find the right products for baby in an easy-to-manage environment where parents can obtain feedback, recommendations and more,” said Smith. “We are so excited about the virtual launch party and partnership with MommyTalk.com.”

Since launching in August 2006, MommyTalk.com has teamed up with numerous organizations, such as AskPatty.com, ClassyMommy and Partnership for a Drug-Free America, whose mission align with the goals and vision of the site and its member base.
