Today is a historical day in which we swear in a new president of our country, “the leader of the free world” and not only is he the newly elected 44th President of the United States of America, he is black.
After watching his speech and hearing several people proclaim him the first African American President, I gotta tell ya, I think it’s about time we call him an American, him and every other citizen of this country is an American. Not an African American, Asian American, Irish American or any of that other bullshit – he is an AMERICAN. Plain and simple.
I am looking forward to the next four years, I am hoping that our new president will change the way the world sees this country.
I am also delighted that there are children in the white house again. Children are only interested in things other children are doing, if there are children in the white house, other children will take notice and take an interest in the white house. This is a very good thing, it will instill feelings of patriotism and unity in a very young age group and all because they are famous children.
Doubt me? Take a look at Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, they were on a stupid TV show for a few years and we still see them on the news and in magazines all the time, more than anyone cares to.
What are your hopes for the new presidency?
