Nick, or as I know him on twitter @Kionee linked to a post at Gizmodo.com in the comments of I Want That on Friday.
The article at Gizmodo says, in my non technical laymen translation, that more megapixels at a cheaper price (read:quality) will not produce the quality photos you might expect of it. I’m a big believer that you get what you pay for and in hindsight, the camera on Woot couldn’t have been incredibly great quality to be 10 megapixels at 60 bucks. I just like shiny and new things and get distracted, sometimes even awed at the toys. I shouldn’t have been looking there anyways.
At any rate, I’ve found the camera that I want. Oh yes, after taking the counsel of Gizmodo into consideration and heeding their advice, I went looking for a camera to fit what I needed, but more importantly, what I wanted.
So you see the beauty below. Oh she’s nice isn’t she?
So I found her and liked her and had to find out what other people were saying about her (I’m kind of a gossiper at heart I guess)…they liked her at Digital Photography Review a lot. But definitely check the review out for yourself.
That’s what I want for my birthday. This one that is creeping up on me, while I am unprepared, maybe even unwilling a little to turn 30.
During the holidays I got my daughter a nice 10 mega pixel camera. She loves it. I think I paid 79.99 forit, but it also included the rechargable batteries.
My best years were between 26-32. So I think you still have at least two years before things start going downhill..lol.
LOL, well it’s great to know there’s hope
