Overdue Endings and New Beginnings

Posted on

Today I get the pleasure of resigning my current position. I will attempt to give notice but if I know my boss, and I don’t really because he’s very unpredictable, he may just tell me there’s no need to work out my notice. He’s done that before. If that’s the case, even better for me to get started on my new very exciting job.

I’m excited about it because it turns my purpose from catering to clients who are not exactly in need of being catered to, to a more positive helpful purpose. Being involved in the law isn’t what I thought it would be at all. I thought it would be exciting and it has not been, it has taught me a lot, which I always welcome, but not exactly the things I thought it would teach me.

I have been looking for a job for a long time but I will miss some of the clients – and all of my coworkers as they are all good, fun people to work with.

However, I have never been micromanaged and talked down to like this before or insulted this way before and I’ve tolerated it long enough. In the words of Hell’s Kitchen, Chef Ramsey, “I’ve had enough!” Quite enough indeed. I’m kicking myself out of the kitchen.

I am excited to turn this page. I will give you all more details later, but today is a very good day.

I hope you all have a wonderful day and to my new boss Jim, you won’t be disappointed.

  1. Congrats! I had a job once that I dreamt about calling into every day and quitting. My boss was a tool. And then I worked for a company I didn’t believe in probably because my boss was such tool. When I finally got away, boy was I happy.
