..it’s been so long that I didn’t recognize her. That girl. I hear her opinions, catch glimpses of her on Twitter and feel her presence fleetingly. It’s been too long. I didn’t know her name, didn’t recognize her face and now I have to relearn what she is about. We’ve lost each other.
It’s been too long and now, she’s sort of lost and it seems I’ve lost a secret. I know that I didn’t tell it to anyone but it’s gone still. Just. Gone. I miss her fierceness, her fire. She stares back at me blank now, hurried and looking older. As if to ask, “What did you think would happen?”.
I’d break that damn thing if it wouldn’t cause 7 years bad luck.
